What Is It?
With information just a Google search away, customer service is more important than ever. Delays in answers to common questions results in unhappy customers. A common solution to these issues is an information kiosk. Though useful, these kiosks are programmed with a limited database of frequently asked questions and are seldom updated.
Our solution is the Social Kiosk.
Our Social Kiosk solves these issues by providing a voice and touch interface. Instead of navigating through a convoluted menu, users can talk to the Social Kiosk, ask for directions and interact with the maps.
Information
The Social Kiosk answers questions regarding your business, people who work in the building and other general questions. When an answer has been indicated as unsatisfactory by the user, the question is saved to allow an administrator to edit or add an answer for this question in order to improve future user experiences. The system’s owner has full control over the information and advertisements that the Social Kiosk can display through the use of our admin portal.
Voice
This feature of the Social Kiosk uses voice recognition to answer questions and give directions. This method of interaction allows users to quickly obtain information, further reducing user interaction times.
Directions
The Social Kiosk also provides directions to rooms and staff offices to assist in navigation inside the building. Unlike traditional map systems, which only display the map, the Social Kiosk also plots the shortest path to your desired destination. The building maps can be fully edited through the admin portal, where areas of the building can be removed for construction and events.
What's next?
Currently the Social Kiosk can only operate in English, but moving forward the team wishes to enhance the system by allowing it to understand multiple languages. By doing so, this enhancement would be effective for use in airports to assist international travelers.
